They would now be up against Lucknow Super Giants, one of the two new franchises in the league. LSG came back well as they chased down more than 200 against Chennai Super Kings in their second game after being beaten in the last over in their season opener against fellow newbies Gujarat Giants.
The toss between Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson and Lucknow captain KL Rahul was won by Williamson who decided to field first at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad did not change their Playing 11 as was expected although they could have brought one change to replace Romario Shepherd who was wayward with the ball and bring in Marco Jansen who can give some stability.
On the other hand, Lucknow, who were sure to bring in Jason Holder who is fit, available, and raring to go, did bring him in, but not at the place of Andrew Tye, rather in place of Dushmantha Chameera which is surprising because Chameeera was bowling brilliantly.
