: The key benchmark indices were oscillating between gains and losses on Tuesday, a day after huge sell off, as global cues remained mixed.
Both Sensex and Nifty were holding marginal gains in the noon trade. Among the Sensex-30 shares, Reliance Industries, SBI, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and Tata Steel were the leading gainers, up 1-4 per cent each.
Meanwhile, HDFC twins declined up to 4 per cent; while Infosys was the other notable loser.
In the broader markets, the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices were outperforming the benchmark, with a gain of 0.7 per cent and 0.7 per cent, respectively.
Sectorally, the BSE Energy and Metal indices surged over 2 per cent each, while the IT index was down 0.5 per cent.
Among stocks, GAIL India hit a 52-week high and was up 3 per cent, ahead of ex-date for share buyback on Thursday, April 21, 2022. READ MORE
