March 7 is the beginning of a new era at Modern Healthcare. Mary Ellen Podmolik, a veteran journalist, executive and strategic thinker, will become Modern Healthcare’s new editor. She comes to us after spending more than 15 years at the Chicago Tribune and other publications as a journalist and newsroom executive.
With a writer’s perspective, an executive’s discipline and an eye on the future of business, Mary Ellen will take charge of the healthcare industry’s leading news and media brand, which includes a bi-weekly magazine, a website, a family of issue-focused e-newsletters, data products, conferences and events. She’ll work to ensure that our content meets the highest standards of journalism: fairness, balance, accuracy, independence and relevance.
Mary Ellen will orchestrate conversation and debate on the evolving business of healthcare and lead our team of reporters and editors to help develop stories that matter.
