The yacht, measuring over 19 meters (62+ft), is a timeless classic embodying agility, power, and elegance. The updated version aims to create a new chapter in Itama’s history, rekindling the love of sailing among enthusiasts with a direct connection to the water.
The Interior&Décor team of the Ferretti Group Engineering Department has infused the yacht with a combination of the traditional Mediterranean mood, defining Itama’s iconic status, and contemporary interior design trends.
Outfitting and Onboard Decor: The cockpit layout prioritizes space and an authentic sea experience. A large sun pad in grey technical fabric precedes the living and dining area with a customizable C-shaped sofa around a fixed steel and wood table. The helm station, protected by a large wraparound windshield, features a new dashboard design with digital instrumentation. The deck, fully open like all Itama models, now includes flush skylights for an unbroken view of the horizon. A central passageway in the windshield with a pantograph opening mechanism enhances the onboard experience.
Propulsion and Performance: The Itama 62RS is equipped with two MAN V12 engines, each rated at 1,400 hp, providing a cruising speed of 37 knots and a top speed of 40 knots. A notable addition is the option to install a Seakeeper NG9 for increased stability at anchor and cruising, enhancing onboard comfort. The flaps on the previous version have been replaced with Humphree interceptors for improved trim at sea.
Below deck, multiple customization options maintain the perfect arrangement of interior settings. The day zone includes a comfortable living area with light colors and walnut wood, a dinette with a convertible table, and a redesigned galley with improved comfort and additional light. The night area in the bow contains the owner’s suite and two guest cabins, each with ensuite bathrooms.
In summary, the Itama 62RS combines new functional and design features with technological innovations, preserving its distinctive Itama DNA. The yacht exudes an unmistakable Mediterranean spirit and sleek, sporty lines, earning it the description of being “designed by the sea.”
