ThedaCare and Froedtert Health, two not-for-profit systems based in Wisconsin, have announced a joint venture to create two new health campuses in the state with acute and outpatient services.

One campus, planned for a Fond du Lac retail district, would be an 18,000-square-foot facility with a $35 million investment. The second campus, in downtown Oshkosh, involves a $76.3 million investment in a 58,000-square-foot location. Each hospital will offer inpatient and emergency care.

Other services will include diagnostic testing, such as ultrasounds and mammograms. The Oshkosh location will offer lab services, a retail pharmacy, an ambulatory surgery center and a medical office building for primary and specialty care.

“The health campuses of the future will offer high-quality healthcare services for treatment and prevention that will be offered in a coordinated, seamless approach by our organizations,” Cathy Jacobson, president and CEO of Froedtert, said in a news release.

Construction is expected to start this spring, with a targeted completion date in 2024.

ThedaCare and the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network in September announced a  partnership to bring better access to advanced specialty care for patients in northeast and central Wisconsin.
